STMPDshop in The HTF Hot Seat

Makers & Creators in HardToFind - Mar 2017

It’s always fun meeting new people, which is why we came up with the idea of The HTF Hot Seat – a regular post to introduce you to the creative dynamites behind some of your favourite hardtofind products. This week’s seller in the spotlight: Prissilla Rademakers, owner of STMPDshop.

I’m known on hardtofind for my… personalised cuff bracelets.

Right now I’m inspired by… my creative customers.

My favourite part of the making process is… hammering the customer’s design into the metal blanks.

I work from… my living room in Sydney, Australia.

A typical day for me involves… getting a takeaway coffee to enjoy on the beach (always coffee first!), doing lots of fun activities with my toddler girl and working on orders while she sleeps.

My proudest business moment was… when my bracelets were promoted by huge fashion bloggers here in Australia only two months after launching my business.

When I started my business, I wish I’d known… about hardtofind straight away!

I’d describe my personal style as… classy and comfy.

My last purchase was… a wool brown hat. I absolutely love hats!

The first thing I do when I wake up is… listening to my toddler chatting away in her bedroom.

The motto I live by is… enjoy today.

I’m hoping 2017 will bring… a brand new personalised item in my product range that will be as successful as the cuff bracelets.

Everything tastes better with a little… dark chocolate.

STMPDshop in The Fashion Journal 157

Make it personal in The Fashion Journal - May 2016

You know the expression ‘wearing your heart on your sleeve’? STMPDshop wants you to do just that. The label makes bracelets that can be branded with the name of a loved one, a personal message, an inspirational quote or the coordinates of a special place. It’s pretty cute, but far from soppy. Each bracelet is handmade from tougher elements like aluminium, brass or copper, turning out something both sentimental and unique. And topping it off is free worldwide shipping. STMPDshop will deliver your goodies in a specially-designed gift bag, check it out on

STMPDshop interview with The Property Studio

Interview with The Property Studio - February 2016

Q: Tell us about STMPD?
A: STMPD is a Manly based business, born in September 2015. STMPD stands for unique, personal, handmade and affordable. At STMPD you can design your own stamped metal bracelets in the colours silver, gold or rose gold. The name of a loved one, a personal message, an inspirational quote or the coordinates of a special place surrounded by beautiful symbols. Customers can be creative or choose one of the popular predesigned STMPD bracelets.  A unique piece of jewellery to wear with pride and joy!

Q: What was your motivation behind starting your business?
A: Early 2015 we welcomed a beautiful baby girl. She made me realise I wanted to do something different. It had to be something I could do with the same passion as taking care of her. Over the years I fantasised about designing and selling bracelets and this was the time to finally go & do this! The first bracelet was of course stamped with my daughters’ name. After that I designed bracelets for friends, family and other mums and they all loved them! STMPD was born.

Q: Where do you find your inspiration?
A: I find my inspiration mainly in other people. What inspires them? What do they love? What do they stand for? Every person is unique and that’s exactly why we ask our customers to design their bracelet. Once the design is finished, we will stamp the bracelet by hand, letter by letter, symbol by symbol, making each piece unique.
In addition to this I love handmade products. Nowadays we are surrounded by mass production jewellery that lack character and personality. With STMPD I’m creating something unique to every person.

Q: What has been the most rewarding and challenging aspect of starting STMPD?
A: The first and most rewarding aspect of having started STMPD is how I can combine it with being a full-time mum of my baby girl Sophie. Being able to work from home and be there for her whenever she needs me makes me feel very happy!

Starting a company of my own with a product I’m passionate about is another very rewarding part. I am convinced this passion is essential to create a successful business. Every day I’m amazed by the creative designs customers come up with and the sweet, inspiring and honest feedback on our bracelets and service.

The most challenging aspect of starting STMPD has to do with the most rewarding aspect– combining it with the fulltime care of my baby girl. Short nights were not always because of night feeds, but because of many hours spent on investigating, testing, designing and building STMPD.

The marketing side of things and building a brand recognised by customers is also very challenging. We’re amongst hundreds of companies that try to sell jewellery and creating a unique selling proposition is hard. Key to this is building the brand from the core and sharing what we stand for, what we believe in. Everyone is unique and we want our customers to be able to express this through our jewellery. Whether it’s a gift to yourself or someone else, the personal touch can make something simple as a bracelet into something priceless.

Social media offers the opportunity to reach many potential customers and build our brand. We have selected Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest with Instagram as our main focus. I’m trying to inspire my followers on Instagram (currently 3.5k) with designs other customers made, ideas to stack our bracelets with others, inspirational quotes, etc. It’s more about the feeling you create around the product than the product itself.
